Claret Jug pays visit to Tullamore

The Claret Jug has paid a quick visit to Tullamore this morning (May 21).

Golf’s most famous trophy was brought to Tullamore's O'Connor Square, the home county of Shane Lowry, the 2019 Champion Golfer of the Year, by Tourism Northern Ireland.

The visit came as part of The Epic Journey to The 153rd Open which also included stops at Belfast City Hall, at Ebrington Square in Derry/Londonderry, and at Kerr Street Green in Portrush.

The community had the opportunity to snap a picture with the infamous trophy, which was displayed next to the #TheOpen letter installation.
