Offaly Fire & Rescue Service complete first training at new training centre
Members of Offaly County Fire & Rescue Service have completed their first training course at the new Fire Services Learning & Development Centre.
The new Fire Services Learning & Development Centre will be fully open in June to host courses delivered by the National Directorate for Fire & Emergency Management and the Local Authority Services National Training Group as well as bookings from fire authorities across the country.
This week, twelve of Offaly County Fire & Rescue Service's newer firefighters took part in the QQI Transportation Incidents Module as part of their core skills development.
This essential training provides them with the skills and knowledge to be part of an effective and efficient team at road traffic collisions where we work alongside the National Ambulance Service and An Garda Síochána.
Offaly County Fire & Rescue Service extend their thanks to trainers SACFO Andrew Flanagan, SO Gabriel Conlan, SSO Joe Dunne and SO James Brown for facilitating the “soft opening” of the training centre.
