Davinia is crowned Ashford Castle Style Icon with stunning outfit
A sunshine yellow dress paired with a chic basket bag borrowed from her mother, and completed with a pair of her 21-year old daughter's shoes culminated in an Offaly fashionista being crowned the prestigious Ashford Castle Style Icon award winner at the Curragh Racecourse.
This is the second year in a row for one of the three Knight sisters from Portarlington to win the style icon award, which was won last year by Davinia's sister, Cleo. Along with their other sister, Dawn, the Knights are renowned for their race-day elegance and have won numerous race day style awards over the years.
Davinia's impeccable style at the Tattersalls Irish Guineas Racing Festival, a three-day showcase of world-class horse racing and refined style, completely wowed judges Marietta Doran and Lisa Toomey.
The Offaly fashionista's stunning award-winning outfit featured a sunshine-yellow Needle & Thread dress rented from Nella.ie, a Bunclody-based company that champions sustainable fashion. To complement her look, she donned a headpiece from Marc Millinery and carried a chic basket bag borrowed from her mother’s wardrobe. Her shoes were also borrowed from a family member, her 21-year-old daughter.
Davinia was delighted saying, “I’m so surprised to have won today but I’m so overjoyed; there’s so much amazing fashion here today, everyone truly stepped up their game.” Davina wins a two-night stay for two in a magnificent Junior State Room in Ireland’s first and only Forbes Five Star Hotel and Spa, the 5-star Ashford Castle in County Mayo.
This unforgettable experience includes:
Full Irish breakfast each morning
An elegant five-course dinner in the spectacular George V Dining Room
A decadent Afternoon Tea for two
A private Bordeaux Varietals wine tasting in the castle’s historic cellars
The Tattersalls Irish Guineas Racing Festival brought together style enthusiasts and racing fans alike for three days of thrilling races and captivating events in County Kildare.
