Dochas Offaly to remain closed today

The Dochas Offaly Cancer Support Centre is to remain closed today (Wednesday, May 28) due to what it has described as “significant roadworks” that are scheduled to take place in the vicinity of their premises on Offaly Street in Tullamore.

In a post of their Facebook page, the charity has apologised to their clients for any inconvenience the closure may cause but have given an assurance that their phone lines will remain operational throughout the day.

Dochas said it had taken the operational decision to close the centre today “for the health and safety” of clients attending the service.

“We have been advised that all works should be completed by Wednesday evening, and we hope to re-open as normal on Thursday morning” the closure notice stated.
