Man due in court over alleged online threats

A man who was arrested in the midlands yesterday over alleged online threats is due before a court this morning.

Gardaí investigating alleged threats shared online arrested a man in Abbeyleix, county Laois, on Wednesday morning.

This morning Gardai confirmed the adult male has been charged in connection with this investigation.

He is due to appear before Portlaoise District Court this morning, Thursday, May 29.

Gardai said the investigation remains ongoing.
