Offaly students shine at Saint Vincent de Paul Youth Day event
Over 240 students from Offaly, Clare, Limerick and Tipperary gathered last month at the Radisson Blu Hotel, Limerick, for the Mid-West Young Society of Saint Vincent de Paul (SVP) Youth Day.
At the event, students showcased the inspiring community and fundraising work they carried out throughout the year as part of the Young SVP Programme.
They also gave passionate presentations on their involvement in direct aid, befriending, and awareness projects.
Guest speakers, including SVP Colleges Support Officer Niamh Brennan and Tullamore Vincent’s Shop Manager Ian Deering, highlighted the real-world impact of SVP’s outreach and social justice efforts.
A video message from Limerick’s SVP Drop-In Centre Manager Eimear Purcell and a heartfelt closing speech by Regional President Teresa Ryan rounded out the day.
Interactive sessions, music, and a lively game of Boogie Bingo brought energy and celebration to this uplifting day of youth-driven change.
