Tullamore Pitch & Putt Club player celebrating All-Ireland success
Tullamore Pitch & Putt are revelling in the success of club player Mark Hogan who won the Intermediate National Matchplay Championship in Tullamore and Erry Clara this weekend.
Mark achieved All-Ireland glory following two days of competition during which he contested four 36 hole matches in changeable weather conditions.
The opening rounds of the competition were played in Tullamore Pitch & Putt club from where Mark progressed to the latter stages in Erry Clara, ultimately progressing to the final in which he defeated Lakeside Templemore club player Noel Stapleton.
Meanwhile, in the National Ladies Strokeplay championship, Mark's fellow club player Amy Galvin just fell short in her final against Ryston Pitch & Putt player, Christine Sheedy.
Anthony Galvin also had a prominent showing for Tullamore Pitch & Putt Club reaching the semi-final of the Senior National Matchplay Championship before his defeat to eventual winner Kieran Earls representing Bruff Pitch & Putt club.
