Offaly name team to play New York in Tailteann Cup

Offaly senior football joint managers Declan Kelly and Micky Harte have confirmed their starting team to play New York in the preliminary quarter-final of the Tailteann Cup in Glenisk O'Connor Park Tullamore on Saturday afternoon (throw in, 2pm).

The Faithful County missed the opportunity to top their group and advance directly to the quarter final stage of the competition when defeated by Laois in their final group phase fixture

New York, who enter the competition at the preliminary quarter final stage, exited the Connacht senior football championship in April when defeated by Galway.

Offaly previously hosted New York during the inaugural hosting of the Tailteann Cup when they defeated the Stateside team by 15 points in Tullamore.
