Offaly team named ahead of enticing Tailteann Cup clash

Offaly senior football joint managers Declan Kelly and Mickey Harte have named their starting team to play Kildare in the Tailteann Cup quarter-final in St Conleth's Park Newbridge on Saturday evening, throw-in 6.30pm.

The team shows no changes to that which comprehensively defeated New York on Saturday last, goals from Dylan Hyland and Ruairí McNamee proving pivotal to the victor's success as the Faithful County's Tailteann Cup quest continues.

This will be third occasion that both counties will meet competitively this year, the Faithful County gaining the upperhand on the two previous occasions, most notably when winning the Allianz National League Division 3 title in Croke Park in March.

In what is arguably the fixture of this competition's quarter-final stage, tickets for this eagerly anticipated contest have now sold out such is the interest in the tie.
