One Offaly player named on Tailteann Cup 'team of the week'

Despite Offaly's exit from the Tailteann Cup on Saturday evening, one Faithful County footballer has been named on the GAA.IE Tailteann Cup 'team of the week'.

Offaly made their exit at the quarter-final stage of this year's second tier senior football championship when losing by the minimum to Kildare in Newbridge but centrefielder Jordan Hayes has been rewarded for his individual display in St Conleth's Park.

The Edenderry clubman scored two two pointers over the course of the contest as he strived to bring success to his county on Saturday evening.

Offaly's championship campaign is no at an end but the Faithful County can reflect upon a season which saw them earn promotion to the Allianz National Football League Division 2 winning the league title in the process.
