Two lunchtime concerts confirmed for Birr Vintage Week & Arts Festival

Birr Festival of Music has announced two lunchtime musical treats for Birr Vintage Week & Arts Festival 2025 at St. Brendan's Church of Ireland, Oxmantown Mall, in August.

Accordion player Dermot Dunne and the Argentinian classical guitarist/vocalist Ariel Hernandez Argentinian will perform in Birr as part of their national reunion tour on Thursday, August 7, at 1.05pm.

Acclaimed organist Thomas Charles Marshall will also perform with one of the leaders of the RTÉ Contempo Quartet, violinist Bogan Sofei, on Friday, August 8, at 1.05pm.

Speaking ahead of the concerts, Birr Festival of Music Chairperson Maureen de Forge said: “Birr Festival of Music is delighted to present these wonderful concerts during Birr Vintage Week & Arts Festival, with musicians of international acclaim. We invite you to enjoy these two superb partnerships, two contrasting musical genres, two highly entertaining lunchtimes.”

Tickets, priced €10 each (children free), can be purchased on the door prior to each concert, with cash payment only, with no booking required.
