Offaly woman wins €50k worth of machinery

CQMS’25, Ireland’s Construction and Quarry Machinery Show, concluded as a resounding success recently at Molloy's Quarry, Tullamore.

This demonstrative bi-annual show was a hub of innovation and new technology covering 100,000 square meters with 200 exhibitors, over 6,000 visitors, two massive live demonstration zones, exclusive new machinery launches and the inimitable Hector Ó hEochagáin welcomed visitors.

CQMS’25 was more than just an exhibition because it is the only show in Ireland set in a quarry.

Molloy’s Quarry in Tullamore was the perfect setting to see these mega machines in operation with exciting demonstrations and a chance to get up close with giant machines in their natural habitat.

CQMS’25 showcased the best of construction machinery and mega machines including quarry equipment, crushers, screeners, diggers, tipper trucks, tyres as well as new construction and quarry technology, access booms and battery powered plant.

The show also appealed to families and general public with an interest in seeing mega machines at work as well as the spectacle of almost €100 million worth of equipment. THE BIG PUSH was a spectacular sight with synchronized demonstrations by a lineup of gigantic bulldozers from Shantui, CAT and Komatsu which performed large-scale earthmoving tasks to highlight their power and efficiency. These mighty giants had a maximum capacity of over 180 tonnes cumulatively and literally made the earth move with approx. 250 horsepower per machine!

Among the exhibitors were Finning Caterpillar, Metso, McHale Plant Sales, Komatsu, Takeuchi, XCMG, Shantui, Hitachi, EMS Machinery Develon, MECALAC, Renault Trucks, Hitechniques, BROKK, Redmac, Westport Equipment, Gleeson Truck Bodies, Sandvik, and many more. CQMS gave exhibitors an opportunity to showcase their latest machinery, share their knowledge, and create such an engaging, hands-on experience for visitors. Their professionalism and passion were clear in every conversation, demonstration, and display.
