Tullamore Toastmasters group announces its new president
Tullamore Toastmasters, the local public speaking and leadership organisation, has announced Timothy Green as its new president.
Mr Green is succeeding the group's outgoing president, Charles Malone.
After five years of online and hybrid meetings, Tullamore Toastmasters said it was currently preparing to return to "the energy and connection" of in-person gatherings.
"This transition back to face-to-face interactions represents more than just a change in venue; it signifies a renewed commitment to the core values that have defined Tullamore Toastmasters for the past three decades," it said in a statement.
"Last September, we proudly celebrated our 30th anniversary, a testament to the dedication and passion of our members throughout the years.
"We've witnessed countless individuals hone their public speaking skills, build their confidence, and forge lasting friendships within our supportive community.
"Timothy's leadership comes at a pivotal moment. He inherits a legacy of excellence and a club eager to embrace the future. His vision and commitment will be instrumental in guiding us as we navigate this exciting new chapter.
"We have no doubt that under his guidance, Tullamore Toastmasters will continue to thrive, providing a platform for personal and professional growth for our members," the Tullamore Toastmasters statement added.
The group said new members were welcome: "Whether you're a seasoned public speaker looking to refine your skills or a complete novice eager to overcome your fear of speaking in public, Tullamore Toastmasters is the place for you."
