Record entry for Tullamore Camera Club's monthly competition
The black and white theme for June's monthly competition drew a record forty entries at Tullamore Camera Club's meeting.
Kieran McEvoy's shot taken outside Clifden took first place as voted by the members. A photograph of her brother's cat, taken by Nuala Lynch, was the runner up on the night. Guest presenter, Dublin-based photographer, Fred Kelly chose Seán McKenna's narrative shot of firefighters in action as his favourite photo.
A group from the club travelled to Duckett's Grove recently to attend a macro photography workshop led by Dublin School of Photography tutor, Andrea Hunt.
The next meeting will be held in Offaly History Centre on Thursday, July 31, at 8pm. All welcome. No experience required.
