Offaly branch of Irish Kidney Association to hold Mucklagh meeting

A meeting of the Offaly branch of the Irish Kidney Association will be held in Mucklagh Community Centre (Eircode: R35 DN02) on Thursday next, July 17, at 8pm.

The Irish Kidney Association also this week announced the launch of a new digital Organ Donor Card, now available to download to your Apple or Google Wallet.

The digital Organ Donor Card launch comes just three weeks after the Department of Health commenced Part 2 (Transplantation) of the Human Tissue Act, addressing the issue of consent for organ donation and highlighting the importance of sharing your wishes with your family.

You can now download your digital donor card from the Irish Kidney Association website at www.ika.ie/donorcard, add it to your Apple or Google Wallet and use the sharing options within the process to let your family know your wishes and trigger that all important family conversation about organ donation.

The Irish Kidney Association is a charitable voluntary group which supports kidney patients and their families and carers living with and affected by end stage kidney disease.
