Four peaks in 48 hours: Offaly siblings raise €3,750 for Dóchas

Local siblings Niamh and Ruairí Dooley have been credited for their generosity, after making a €3,750 donation to Dóchas Offaly Cancer Support in recent days.

The BiaSol co-founders recently completed an intense Four Peak Challenge in support of the organisation, climbing the highest peak in each of Ireland’s four provinces, all within just 48 hours.

The challenge pushed the duo to their physical and mental limits, with back-to-back hikes across rugged terrain and especially challenging conditions on Carrauntoohil, Ireland’s highest mountain.

The Dóchas team visited the pair at BiaSol HQ this week to express their gratitude in person.

“This was an incredible feat of endurance, and we are beyond grateful to Niamh and Ruairí for choosing to support Dóchas in this way,” said John Conroy, Service Manager.

“The funds they raised will directly help us provide vital services to people in Offaly affected by cancer. Their generosity, energy, and dedication are truly inspiring.”

In addition to their fundraising efforts, Niamh and Ruairí kindly donated a selection of BiaSol products to the centre, a thoughtful gesture that was deeply appreciated by staff and clients alike.

“We’re incredibly thankful for their support, and for the generosity of everyone who donated to their fundraiser,” said Sandra Finlay of Dóchas.
