Midlands STEM programme named finalist in Ireland eGovernment Awards
The Midlands STEM programme has been named as a finalist in two categories at the Ireland eGovernment Awards.
The Ireland eGovernment Awards celebrate and honour excellence, innovation and creativity in Ireland’s public sector.
Working with the education and enterprise sectors in the Midlands region, the Midlands STEM programme, which comprises of the local authorities of Westmeath, Offaly, Laois and Longford, focuses on aligning and building the science, technology, engineering and mathematic skills required to meet the demands of the future labour market in the region.
The Midlands STEM programme has been nominated in the Citizen Engagement Award and the Education Award categories, while Midlands Ireland also named as a finalist for the Marketing and Social Media Award.
The Ireland eGovernment awards ceremony will take place in the O'Reilly Hall, Belfield, UCD, on September 18.
