Dalton named in Ireland team for final World Cup warm up game
Clara native Aoife Dalton has been named in the Ireland senior women's rugby team to play Canada in their final warm-up contest ahead of the this month's World Cup in England.
The inside centre who was named on the Women's Six Nations 'Team of the Championship' will start in her familiar berth for the game against Canada in the Affidea Stadium Belfast on Saturday afternoon at 12pm.
The game offers the former Tullamore RFC player the final opportunity to stake her claim for a World Cup place when Head Coach Scott Bemand confirms his final squad next week.
Ireland start their World Cup campaign with a Pool C fixture against Japan on August 24. They then play Spain on August 31 before completing their round robin phase of games against New Zealand on September 7.
