Tullamore Show facts and figures

EARLY START

The Show’s grounds will open from 6.30am on Sunday for exhibitors, and at 8.30am for the general public.

SHOW NUMBERS

The location of the show, at Butterfield Estate, Blueball, Tullamore, consists of over 260 acres of show ground area, and provides some 300,000 square feet of tented village. Free car parking is provided for 20,000 cars. The site is situated on the N52 Birr road, approximately 5km from the town centre of Tullamore.

PRIZE FUND

A total of over 1,000 classes are on offer at Ireland's premier show, with the combined prize fund amounting to a cool €175,000. A total of 45 FBD National Livestock Show titles are to be decided.

CHARITY PARTNER

Offaly School of Special Education, a Tullamore-based special school serving 42 pupils with additional educational needs, is Tullamore Show's charity partner for 2025.

The school's principal, Ed Graham, said it was "honoured and extremely grateful to have been chosen as the sole charity partner for the upcoming Tullamore Show on Sunday, August 10."

NEW CHAIRMAN

The new chairman of Tullamore Show is Ferbane sucker farmer John Keena, whose father was the first Offaly IFA chairman in 1955. John was elected to the role in January, taking over from Joe Molloy.

HYDROGEN POWER

Offaly County Council announced a partnership with the ESB and Tullamore Show as part of its Tullamore Decarbonising Zone initiative. The local authority and the ESB will be using green hydrogen to power the sustainability village at the show. The council said this initiative "reflects our long-standing commitment" to green energy.

SCHEDULE LAUNCH

The schedule for the 2025 Tullamore Show was launched by guest speaker Martin Heydon, the Minister for Agriculture, Food, Fisheries and Marine, at the show's sponsors evening held in the Old Warehouse Tullamore in May. The Minister, a farmer by trade, noted that events such as Tullamore Show play a vital role in exhibiting farming and all that goes with it.

LIVE MUSIC

The live music line-up at this year's show includes performances from Hammer & Tongs, Chasing Abbey, and country/ gospel singer, Patrick Feeney.

IRELAND'S BIGGEST

Tullamore Show is Ireland's largest one-day show, averaging 60,000 visitors in recent years, with 700 Trade Stands from agri sectors, home industries, farm produce, innovation, forestry, agri machinery, and more
