Offaly's All Ireland camogie success seen by large TV audience

The Offaly camogie team's All Ireland Intermediate championship success against Kerry on Sunday was seen by a large TV audience which peaked at 230,000 viewers.

The Faithful County's triumph was part of a triple-header attended by 28,795 at Croke Park.

The RTÉ television audience for the Offaly-Kerry game had an average viewership of 181,000, which represented a 28% of the total television audience in Ireland on Sunday afternoon.

The game's viewership peaked at 230,000 as David Sullivan's charges kept Kerry at arm's length to claim the silverware on a 0-14 to 0-11 scoreline.

Meanwhile, an average of 353,000 viewers tuned into RTÉ's coverage of the dramatic senior decider between Galway and Cork. This represented a 44% share of those watching TV at the time, with the audience peaking at 426,000 towards the end of the match.
