Faithful County hurlers to feature in Hurling for Cancer charity match
Five Faithful County players will feature in the annual Hurling for Cancer charity match at Netwatch Cullen Park Carlow on Monday, August 18.
Adam Screeney, Dan Bourke, Brian Carroll, Brian Duignan and Liam Hoare are part of Jim Bolger's 'Stars' squad who will play a Davy Russell 'Best' selection with all proceeds raised from the fixture going directly towards Irish Cancer Society research investment.
Screeney is listed to start in his customary corner forward berth with the remaining quartet of Offaly players certain to see action in front of what will be a sell out attendance on Monday evening.
Both Davy Russell and Jim Bolger's squads are laden with All-Ireland winning medals across hurling, camogie and football.
The hugely popular charity match will be broadcast live on TG4 and TG4.ie from 7.15pm.
The Irish Cancer Society is the largest voluntary sector investor in cancer research in Ireland, but we cannot support more than 100 research projects per year without incredible fundraising initiatives like Hurling for Cancer.
Tickets for this charity match are available at hurlingforcancer.ie or in select Centra and Supervalu GAA ticket stores. Tickets cost €10 for adults and €5 for children.
