Work begins on next phase of Killeigh Community Centre development

In recent days, work has commenced on the second phase of the overall redevelopment of Killeigh Community Centre.

An update provided on behalf of the Killeigh Community Centre Development committee stated that the work, which is partially funded by the 2023 Town and Village Renewal Scheme, will create an outdoor area which will facilitate a farmers/artisan market, programming space and additional car parking.

MCOH Architects are Project Designers and Tower Civils have been awarded the construction contract, with the works are expected to be completed by the end of October.

The committee said it would like to thank everyone for their continued support.

The community centre, on the site of the former Macra hall, was officially opened last year and was built with the assistance of a major local fundraising effort.
