Donogher brothers celebrate major sporting career milestones
Two powerchair football players from Kinnitty will play at the highest level of competition when the National League Premiership starts in England.
Tom Donogher (24) and his 23-year old brother, Seán, celebrated significant sporting career milestones this week when signing for two high achieving clubs.
Tom has secured a move to ‘The Throstles’ of West Bromwich Albion, while Sean has committed his future to the Muscle Warriors 'Aspires' team ensuring that both brothers will be competing at the highest level when the season commences.
The Donogher brothers have been playing powerchair football for the past 12 years and have represented Ireland on the international stage.
Tom has an impressive eight caps to his name, while Sean has represented his country on seven occasions. Their consistency and dedication have made them integral figures within the Irish set-up.
The brothers are now preparing for their next major test, the European Championships taking place in Italy next month. With Ireland needing to finish inside the top five to book a place at the 2026 World Cup in Argentina, all eyes will be on the Donogher’s to help lead their country to success on the continental stage.
