Profile of a Parkrunner: Meet Fiadh

Meet Fiadh from Portarlington, who at just 12 years of age, recently completed her 150th parkrun.

When did you complete your first parkrun?

I completed my first parkrun with my Mam in September 2019.

What is your favourite thing about parkrun?

My favourite thing about parkrun is the people. They really encourage me to keep going when I feel like giving up!

How does it feel to have reached the significant milestone of 150 parkruns?

For a 12 year old, I am very proud that I have achieved 150 parkruns.

What is your favourite parkrun memory?

My favourite parkrun memory is running with Mairéad (Scally) and her children and achieving my PB (personal best time).

Mountlucas parkrun takes place at Bord na Móna Mountlucas windfarm every Saturday morning at 9.30am sharp. It is a free, weekly, timed 5km event where walkers, joggers and runners of all abilities are welcome. Newcomers are always welcome!
