Women's Enterprise Day launched in Offaly

National Women’s Enterprise Day was launched at Gloster House in Birr.

The initiative, run by the Local Enterprise Offices (LEOs), supports and inspires female entrepreneurs across Ireland and will take place nationwide on Thursday, October 16.

The launch showcased LEO-supported, female-led businesses including Flaunta (sisters Hope Hayes and Angelina Sheridan), My Little Tooth Fairy (Emma Duffy), and Bánór (Nicola Lyons).

Guests heard stories of challenges overcome and successes achieved by local entrepreneurs, highlighting the support available to women at every stage of business.

Aileen McGrath, Chair of National Women’s Enterprise Day, said: “The Offaly launch celebrates the achievements of female entrepreneurs and shows that support is available locally and nationally.

"It’s an opportunity to connect with a network of women in business and explore opportunities for growth, innovation, and collaboration.”

This year’s National Women’s Enterprise Day features 15 events nationwide, with speakers including broadcaster Norah Casey, lawyer Joanna Frivet, author Dr. Katriona O’Sullivan, designer Helen Steele, and influencer Sarah Butler.

Events will cover topics such as funding, networking, marketing, and upskilling, catering to women at every stage of their business journey.
