Credit unions to hold joint roadshow to promote 'green' initiatives
Tullamore Credit Union and St Brigid's Credit Union will hold their first ever joint roadshow, which is aimed at promoting 'green' initiatives, later this month.
The Environmental, Social & Governance (ESG) Roadshow, which will take in Tuar Ard Moate on Monday, September 29, and at Esker Arts Tullamore on Wednesday, October 1, and is aimed at educating and engaging with members, communities and businesses on the importance of ESG and ‘green’ practices and their impact. This initiative aligns with the credit unions' shared commitment to sustainable business practices, community development and financial literacy.
The roadshows, which are fully supported by Offaly County Council, will be informative and help raise awareness of the principles of ESG, corporate responsibility and sustainability. Information will be available about the ESG products and services available in both credit unions. A range of local suppliers of ‘green’ products will also display some of their products and be available to answer attendees’ questions.

CEO of St Brigid’s Credit Union Michael Kelly added: "The ethos of the credit union is people helping people. Using our strong position to help membership become more sustainable is the goal and this collaboration assists in achieving this objective."
Everyone is welcome to come along to Tuar Ard Moate on Monday, September 29, or Esker Arts Tullamore on Wednesday, October 1, at 6pm to meet local stakeholders and 7pm to hear the guest speakers.
All members, community groups and businesses are welcome.
