Two Offaly camogie players nominated for player of the year award

Two Offaly camogie players have been nominated for the 2025 PwC GPA Camogie Intermediate Player of the Year.

Team captain and defender Orlagh Phelan and ace forward Grace Teehan are two of three players nominated for the end of season accolade to be announced at the PwC Camogie All-Stars Awards in Croke Park on Saturday, November 15.

The nominations are due recognition of both players' contribution during Offaly's All-Ireland intermediate hurling campaign which culminated in All-Ireland success when they defeated Kerry in Croke Park to claim the prized silverware.

Both players had prominent performances in the final with Teehan contributing five points to the Faithful County's win.

Speaking at the announcement of the nominations, Brian Molloy, Uachtarán an Chumainn Camógaíochta, offered his congratulations to all those who had been shortlisted for awards.

“I want to congratulate all the players who have been nominated for the 2025 PwC Camogie All-Stars Awards. Comhghairdeas libh go léir. This shortlist reflects the exceptional skill, commitment and passion we witnessed throughout what was a thrilling season.

"I would like to thank PwC for their continued partnership in recognising excellence in our game, and I look forward to what promises to be a fantastic celebration of Camogie in November," Mr Molloy said.
