Culture Night returns to Offaly this evening
Offaly has a wide array of cultural delights this evening (Friday) as Culture Night returns for its twentieth year.
Culture Night is a nationwide initiative celebrating culture, creativity, and the arts. It seeks to actively promote the belief that this rich and varied culture is alive, treasured, and nurtured in people’s lives, today and every day.
A vibrant programme of free events will take place across Offaly throughout the evening.
Highlights of the evening include a live performance by Clara Musical Society with 'Movies and Musicals' in River Street, Clara, from 8pm to 9pm, and Edenderry’s ‘Autumn Airs’ choral performance in the historic surroundings of the Society of Friends Meeting House from 7.30pm to 9pm.
In Tullamore, Club Life with DJ Dylan Delaney will bring a night of techno and electronic music to John Lee’s Bar and Venue from 9pm to midnight, while ‘In the Cradle of the Earth’, a pop-up by local artist Sheila Hough takes place at JJ Hough’s Singing Pub in Banagher from 7pm to 8pm.
Teach Ceoil returns to Shinrone for its second Culture Night outing, featuring music, storytelling and spoken word from selection of local featured and open-mic performers.

Music Generation will present 'Midland Rocks' at Esker Arts in Tullamore from 8pm to 9pm, offering a platform for emerging talent to take the stage, share their voice, and shine in a welcoming, supportive atmosphere. The event promises an evening of creativity, community, and live performance.
