Recently the National Construction Training Centre’s NZEB Retrofit Training Unit visited the Colaiste Naomh Cormac, providing an invaluable learning experience for Transition Year, Fifth Year, and Sixth Year Construction Studies students.
The visit offered students practical insights into Nearly Zero Energy Buildings (NZEB) and the principles of home retrofitting. This initiative reflects the school’s commitment to sustainability and to equipping students with the skills and knowledge needed for the future of modern construction.
Science Club
Coláiste Naomh Cormac's Science Club were hands on at lunchtime. Eager students got to carry out a variety of fun experiments with dry ice. They all learned about the magic behind how dry ice works!
Science Fest
Coláiste Naomh Cormac had the pleasure of welcoming students for students for its annual Science Festival last week. The science department and transition year students put on a display of exciting and magical science experiments for the students to try their hand at.
There was a fun display of dry ice and a variety of other experiments which gave the students the chance to be scientists for the day.
Community Tea Party
Tickets are now sold out for Coláiste Naomh Cormac's Community Tea Party.
This event was organised to celebrate the community spirit in Colaiste Naomh Cormac and reflects the school’s motto Críolár na Comharsanachta – CNC -Heart of the Community.
The whole community is really looking forward to a great night's celebrations.
