Positive Ageing Week events continuing at Offaly Libraries
A number of events are taking place at libraries across Offaly over the next week as Positive Ageing Week is marked in the county.
Positive Ageing Week 2025 celebrates ageing and the contribution and agency of older people. Positive Ageing Week 2025 will carry on the theme of Challenging Ageism – Reframing How We Think, Feel and Act towards ageing and older persons. This is a socially inclusive event, so all are welcome.
Offaly Libraries are also proud to partner with LOETB’s Community Education service in the delivery of crochet workshops this week.
Positive Ageing Week runs nationwide from September 29 until October 3, but events at Offaly Libraries continue until Saturday, October 11.
Events running until then include chair yoga, crochet workshops, a line dancing demonstration, and inter-generational teddy bear's picnic and storytime, and an intergenerational arts and crafts workshop.
Details of events being held can be found here.
All library branches will have a display featuring age friendly information for the public to peruse. To book in to any of the events above, please contact your local library.
