Bon Chocolatiers claims prestigious Blas na hÉireann Award
Tullamore based Bon Chocolatiers, the artisan chocolate business run by Midlands couple, Georgia Quealy and Daniel Linehan, has won the Supreme Champions Award at Blas na hÉireann, the Irish Food Awards.
The Supreme Champions Award is the highest accolade presented at Blas na hÉireann, the biggest competition for quality Irish produce on the island of Ireland.
Bon Chocolatiers also achieved the 'Best in County' award which was sponsored by Offaly Local Enterprise Office.
Head of Enterprise, Orla Martin, said the accolade was a "wonderful recognition of the duo's talent and commitment".
“We wish them continued success as they go from strength to strength and look forward to working with them as they grow their business. Offaly has a strong network of ambitious food enterprises and we in LEO Offaly feel privileged to be working with them all," Ms Martin said.
Bon Chocolatiers was founded by both highly trained chefs during the Covid-19 lockdown and has quickly gained recognition for its original and luxuriously made chocolates.
From ethically sourced French, Swiss and Ghanaian chocolate to Irish butter and cream, foraged local berries, Wicklow mint and Oriel sea salt, the very best ingredients are key to everything that Georgia and Daniel do at Bon Chocolatiers.
Their artisan creations are available to buy online, from where they are delivered from their chocolate kitchen in Tullamore.
There were also coveted Blas na hÉireann awards for Offaly based businesses Heavey & Co, Pigs On The Green and Sofina Foods at the four-day Irish food and drink celebration which took place in Dingle, County Kerry, from October 2-5.
