Toastmaters roadshow event taking place in Tullamore today
From noon to 2pm today (Wednesday), the Bridge House Hotel in Tullamore will host an event celebrating the role of Toastmasters in fostering community and enhancing communication skills across the country.
Toastmasters, an international nonprofit organisation which has a branch in Tullamore, is designed to help build confidence and teach public speaking skills.
Today's event will feature addresses from community leaders, including District Director Mairead Dillon and Offaly County Council Cathaoirleach John Leahy, highlighting the importance of effective communication and local governance.
Attendees will also enjoy traditional Irish music performances.
The afternoon includes opportunities for networking and skill development, showcasing the core principles of Toastmasters.
It will conclude with an awards presentation, recognising achievements within the Toastmasters community.
For those interested in joining the Tullamore Toastmasters, meetings are held on the second and fourth Thursdays of each month, from September to the end of May, at 8pm in Fergie's Bar and Lounge in the Market Square.
