Tullamore College TY students soar with visit to Baldonnell Aerodrome

Transition Year students from Tullamore College enjoyed an unforgettable educational trip to Baldonnell Aerodrome on Thursday, October 2, gaining a fascinating insight into the world of aviation.

The visit offered students a unique opportunity to explore the wide range of careers available in the aviation industry. Throughout the day, they attended engaging talks from pilots, engineers, and air traffic controllers, each sharing their experiences and advice about working in the field.

One of the highlights of the visit was the chance to test their skills on flight simulators, giving students a realistic sense of what it’s like to pilot an aircraft.
