Tullamore charity shop calls for donations of Halloween costumes and decor

Jack and Jill Charity Boutique in Tullamore is seeking donations of pre-loved Halloween costumes and decorations.

Any gently-used costumes, accessories, or spooky décor can be dropped off at the shop to be resold in support of Jack and Jill’s vital work. The charity provides in-home nursing care and respite support to families across Ireland caring for children with severe learning disabilities, often linked to complex medical needs.

Store Manager Mark O’Shea said “Last year’s response was fang-tastic, and this year we’re hoping for even more donations. Costumes often only get one wear before kids and adults grow out of them or simply want something new. Instead of letting them gather dust, why not give them a second chance to scare here in Tullamore? As families start pulling out decorations and planning their spooktacular looks, we’d love if they thought of us for any items no longer needed.”

Head of Retail at the Jack and Jill Children’s Foundation Stacey Bohanna added: “Every item donated or purchased directly helps us support five children currently under Jack and Jill’s care in Co. Offaly. Since 1997, we’ve cared for 42 families here in the county, so this campaign really is about the community helping local families in a fun and sustainable way.”

The Jack and Jill Boutique is also looking for donations of autumn and Halloween home décor from pumpkin wreaths to glitter skulls and everything in between. Shoppers looking to refresh their haunted house style can also pick up some unexpected treasures in store. Donations will be accepted right through Halloween and beyond, helping the store bank some spooktacular stock for next year too.
