McGlynn hoping to claim third consecutive national marathon title
Mucklagh runner Ann Marie McGlynn is targeting a third consecutive national title at the 2025 Irish Life Dublin Marathon on Sunday.
Two-time national champion McGlynn will face a challenge to her title from Ireland’s emerging star 19-year-old Ava Crean.
A former member of Tullamore Harriers, the 45-year-old, who ran 2:34:05 in 2024, remains Ireland’s most consistent marathon performer.
McGlynn recently added to her national honours when winning the BnM Tullamore Harriers half marathon in her native county.
McGlynn was a very popular winner of the senior women’s title, adding to her growing list of national titles to take her first half marathon title in impressive fashion.
She will be hoping to replicate such an achievement, albeit at double the race distance, when she takes to the starting line in the capital city on Sunday morning.
The 2025 Irish Life Dublin Marathon, a World Athletics Elite Label Road Race, will bring world-class endurance racing to the streets of the capital with top international and Irish athletes set to contest both overall and national honours.
