Tullamore community unites for third James O'Connor Memorial Walk

The third annual James O’Connor Memorial Walk took place on Friday, October 17, in Tullamore Harriers, bringing the local community together in a moving tribute to James’s memory, while raising vital awareness and support for Accessible Counselling Tullamore (ACT).

The event was a powerful expression of remembrance, resilience, and community spirit.

Walkers of all ages turned out in support of ACT, a service founded by James to ensure accessible, affordable and timely counselling is available to everyone.

Lisa O’Connor, co-founder of ACT, shared her gratitude. "We are so thankful to everyone who came out to support the memorial walk," she said.

"Your presence, your donations, and your compassion remind us of the power of community. James’ memory lives on through ACT and through moments like this.

"Together, we are helping to break down barriers and ensure that support is always within reach."

Organises also thanked the many volunteers and businesses whose generosity and time helped make the walk a success.
