Tullamore College students visit one of Ireland's most iconic Neolithic sites
Tullamore College students had the pleasure of visiting one of Ireland's most iconic Neolithic sites recently.
TY Cultural Studies students from Tullamore College had a fantastic day exploring Newgrange and Knowth, which were built circa 3200BC.
They learned about the history, myths, and amazing stone carvings that date back over 5,000 years.
These ceremonial structures are among the most important Neolithic sites in the world and contain the largest collection of megalithic art in Western Europe.
The school extended their thanks to Ms Geoghegan and Ms Bradley for accompanying the students.
