Mount Temple Drama Group to stage ‘Drinking Habits’
Mount Temple Drama Group are making the final preparations for their upcoming comedy play '‘Drinking Habits’ by Tom Smith, which is set to take to the stage in Moate’s Tuar Ard Arts Centre from Wednesday night of next week, November 12 until Saturday, November 15.
‘Drinking Habits’ tells the story of two nuns in the ‘Sisters of Perpetual Sewing’, who have been secretly making wine to keep the doors of the convent open. Two reporters, Paul and Sally, who just so happen to be former fiancees, arrive to make enquiries. In order to get the front-page story, they have to go undercover.
This, alongside the arrival of a new nun and a letter from Rome calling for the closure of all insignificant convents makes for a wild, laugh-out-loud farce with romances and mistaken identities. This promises to be a show not to be missed.
The director of this year’s play is Mount Temple’s very own Larry Nugent. The cast includes many familiar names to the stage like Breda Slevin, Roisín Allen, Donnie Malone, Mary Martin, Michelle Donnelly, James Rabbitte, Michelle Reynolds and James Casey.
The play will be on stage Wednesday, November 12, to Saturday, November 15. Curtains are 8pm sharp. Tickets are now available to purchase either through the Tuar Ard website or by calling the box office on 090 6482042
