Birr Library hosts Sensory Toy Showcase

Birr Library recently hosted their Sensory Toy Showcase.

The event took place Wednesday, November 19, and featured talks by occupational therapists Roisin Farrell and Eleanor Wallace.

The professionals delivered a talk highlighting the benefits of sensory toys in supporting self-regulation and motor skills development. They also provided practical and helpful guidance for parents and caregivers.

A wide range of sensory equipment was on display, along with a selection of autism-related books.

All of this sensory equipment is available in Birr Library, and there is also a sensory pack available for schools. Teachers can borrow this pack for up to three weeks, making it a fantastic resource for the classroom.
