Met Eireann issue ice warning for Offaly and nine other counties

Met Eireann have issued an ice warning and low temperature for Offaly and nine other counties.

The warning includes widespread frost and some icy stretches, with minimum air temperatures of -3 degrees Celsius, possibly lower locally.

The national forecaster also issued an advisory that conditions will be poor for travelling, and for animal welfare during the cold snap.
