12 Dips of Christmas Challenge for Offaly domestic violence service
Offaly Domestic Violence Support Service (ODVSS) has put out a call to the incredible sea-swimming community to take part in their 12 Dips of Christmas Challenge charity initiative.
Participants are being asked to take one cold water dip/swim every day for 12 days during the month of December.
The local domestic violence service says that every dip is a reminder of the courage it takes for someone to leave an abusive relationship and every donation raised helps to support those taking that brave step.
Whether you’re a seasoned ice dipper, a once-a-year plunger, or just curious, ODVSS would love to hear from you.
How to take part:
1. Commit to 1 swim per day for 12 days
2. Share your dip photo/video
3. Tag us and use the hashtag: #12DipsForSafety
4. Ask friends, family or your workplace to sponsor your challenge
Swim anywhere sea, lake, river, bath, cold shower… it all counts!
Be aware of water safety always while swimming.
Together, we can make waves of awareness and support survivors across our community this Christmas.
