200th Park Run for Edenderry's Finbar

Edenderry native Finbar Redmond recently reached a major milestone at the local Mountlucas Park Run after completing his 200th run since first taking part in the weekly held event in 2017.

While the majority of Finbar's park runs have been completed at Mountlucas, he has completed park runs in a number of different locations across Ireland and as far afield as Washington DC.

Speaking to Finbar about what he enjoys about the Mountlucas Park Run, he said: "It's not about the running anymore. It's about the people and the social side of it. I enjoy volunteering as much as the running now too, and it's a great way to give back."

Speaking about what it means to him to have reached the significant milestone of 200 park runs, he was grateful to the friendship and support gained along the way, saying: "Massive thanks to everyone who has supported me from day one."

Mountlucas Park Run takes place at Bord na Móna, Mountlucas windfarm every Saturday morning at 9.30am.
