Uisce Éireann’s Portfolio Manager Dave Murphy welcomed the completion of the project

'More secure and reliable water supply' promised for Lusmagh

The completion of essential upgrade works by Uisce Éireann in Lusmagh, Co Offaly has been completed.

People in the area can now expect a more secure and reliable water supply following the completion of works as Uisce Éireann's National Leakage Reduction Programme.

During the works, 780 metres of ageing water mains were replaced between the crossroads at Caplevane and Lusmagh National School. According to Uisce Éireann, the investment is expected to provide a more secure and reliable water supply in the area and significantly reduce leakage of treated water into the ground.

Uisce Éireann Portfolio Manager Dave Murphy welcomed the completion of the project. “We are delighted to have delivered these works for our customers in Lusmagh and the surrounding communities. We would like to thank the community for their co-operation and patience while the works were carried out.”

The works were carried out by Shareridge on behalf of Uisce Éireann, he added.
