Offaly Athletics confirm dates for 2026 race series

The dates have been confirmed for the Offaly Athletics Road Race Series 2026 - the Healthy Offaly 5K Series and the Offaly Endurance Series.

All races are organised by Offaly Athletics clubs (with the Ashling Murphy Race hosted by Offaly Athletics).

Each event takes place within County Offaly and consistently attracts strong local competition alongside top-class athletes from across the country.

The Healthy Offaly 5km race series starts on Sunday, March 8, with an event hosted by Tullamore Harriers AC.

Two weeks later (Sunday, March 22) sees Banagher AC hosting the second 5m event in the series with similar distance races taking place in Rhode (Sunday, April 19), Ferbane (Friday, May 8), Ballyskenach (Friday, May 29), Naomh Mhuire (Friday, June 12), Clara (Sunday, July 5) and Birr (Sunday, August 16).

Meanwhile, the Offaly Endurance Series will start on Sunday, May 17, with the Ashling Murphy four mile event.

The Jack Cox 10km race takes place on Sunday, June 21, with the Frank Kilrane 10 mile race pencilled in for Sunday, July 12.

The ever popular BnM Tullamore Harriers half marathon brings the race series to a close on Saturday, August 29.

Each race is also a fundraising event, so by taking part you are not only enjoying a high-quality race, but also supporting the host club.
