Recently-appointed Superintendent set for Tullamore role

A recently-appointed Garda Superintendent is taking up responsibility for the force's community engagement in Offaly.

Superintendent Anthony Tighe has been assigned to Tullamore Garda Station with responsibility for the "Offaly community engagement functional area" in the Laois/Offaly Garda Division.

His role was outlined as part of a series of staff appointments announced by An Garda Síochána.

Superintendent Tighe's appointment to the Tullamore-based position takes effect from today (January 6).
