Kilbeggan songwriter makes bid for second year at Eurovision

Kilbeggan songwriter Larissa Tormey is aiming for a second song appearance at Eurovision in as many years.

The local talent has co-written a song titled 'Uninterrupted', which will be performed by singer Noelle as a bid for Croatia's 2026 Eurovision song.

Larissa wrote the song alongside fellow Irish songwriter Rebecca Lane, as well as Portuguese songwriter Filipe Nicolau, and Bonnie Max.

She describes the latest song as carrying a powerful message to "be brave, stand up for yourself, and speak your truth".

Previously, Larissa's song 'Laika Party', performed by Norwegian singer Emmy, represented Ireland at the song competition in 2025.

Larissa co-wrote the song alongside Emmy Kristine Guttulsrud Kristiansen, Erlend Guttulsrud Kristiansen, Henrik Østlund, and Truls Marius Aarra.

Ireland will not compete at this year's Eurovision Song Contest after RTÉ decided to boycott the contest in protest of Israel's participation, citing the humanitarian crisis in Gaza as the reason.
