Over €30,000 in drugs and cash seized in Offaly search operation
Gardai from the Offaly Divisional Drugs Unit have shared details of a major operation in Edenderry during which drugs and cash valued at over €30,000 were seized.
The operation targeting the sale and supply of drugs began with the arrest of a male in Edenderry. Gardai said the man was searched, which led to the recovery of €300 worth of crack cocaine, €100 worth of heroin, and €105 in cash.
Subsequently, a residential address in Edenderry was searched under warrant and this resulted in the seizure of heroin with an estimated value of €27,500, Alprazolam tablets valued at around €450, and cash totalling €4,000.
"All drugs and cash seized will be forwarded for analysis," said a Garda statement.
"An Garda Síochána remains committed to disrupting the supply of illegal drugs and protecting communities across Offaly," it added.
