Offaly Gardaí issue black ice warning as temperatures set to drop below freezing

An Garda Síochána Laois/Offaly have issued a black ice warning, as tempuratures are set to drop below freezing tonight.

Gardaí are dealing with a number of road collisions this morning around Laois Offaly, with the road at Dalgan on the L1020, Geashill, Offaly currently closed due to an overturned car.

According to Met Eireann, lowest temperatures of -1 to 3 degrees can be expected later tonight, as clear spells give way to development of mist and fog or freezing fog later tonight with a few frost patches forming.
