Milne named in Ireland's Six Nations Championship squad
Crinkill native Michael Milne has been included in the Ireland rugby squad for the 2026 Six Nations Championship.
The former Birr RFC player, now representing Munster, has previously won two international caps for his country and was named this afternoon (Wednesday) by team manager Andy Farrell in the 37 strong player squad.
Milne was named in the Ireland rugby squad for last year's summer tour where he featured in games against Georgia and Portugal.
Meanwhile, Robbie Henshaw is an injury absentee from the tournament squad.
The Athlone native was replaced due to a knee issue in the 34th minute of Leinster's Investec Champions Cup win over Bayonne at the weekend and is expected to miss the opening games of this year's tournament.
Ireland open their 2026 Championship against France at Stade de France on Thursday, February 5, at 8.10pm.
