Clara's eldest resident Teresa Mannion remembered as a 'treasured neighbour'
Clara's eldest resident Mrs Teresa Mannion (née Walsh) has been remembered as a 'treasured neighbour' who lived a meaningful life, as tributes poured in following her passing on Saturday last.
Teresa died peacefully on Saturday, January 24, at her residence on her 101st year. Formerly of Screggan Tullamore, Teresa has been a resident of Clara for over 60 years.
She was predeceased by her loving husband Joe, and is deeply regretted by her loving sons Padraig, Michael, Liam, Sean, Eamon, Noel and Vincent, daughters Maura and Teresa, daughters in law, son in law, her 19 grandchildren, 14 great grand children (USA, Australia and England), nephews, nieces, neighbours, relatives and friends.
Her funeral mass will take place in St Brigid’s Church, Clara, at 11am on Tuesday, January 27, with burial afterwards in the Monastery Cemetery, Clara.
